On november 17, 2022, the members of the working team of the Jean
Monnet Module - Larisa Takalandze (Module Manager), Nino Tophuridze (Head of
Administration), and Davit Zakaraia (Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business and
Social Sciences) held a working meeting at Sokhumi State University. On the
agenda was the discussion of the implementation of the new teaching course
"Corporate Social Responsibility in the European Union" vin
undergraduate programs within the Jean Monnet Module. The meeting was
attended by the Head of the Quality Assurance Service of the University Romeo
Galdava, the Chief Specialist of the same service Marine Khubua, the Head of
the Quality Assurance Service of the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences
Kakhi Kopaliani, and the Chief Specialist Nino Ketsbaia. As a result of the
discussion, it was decided to include the new teaching course in the bachelor's
degree program in Business Administration as a mandatory subject, and to offer
it as an elective subject for students of other programs of the University
(taking into account the requirements of accreditation standards). According to
the existing rule, the Academic Council of SSU will consider the given
proposition of the faculty and make the final decision. The issue of
compliance of the new syllabus with accreditation standards was also discussed
at the meeting.
