On November 22, 2024, at the meeting of the Quality Assurance Service of the Sokhumi State University, 2-year old progress report (2023-2024) of the Jean
Monnet Module "Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in
the European Union: Experience for Georgia'' was
heard. The report was
heard by the Head of
the Quality Assurance Service of the University, Associate Professor Romeo Galdava, the Chief
Specialist of the same service, Associate Professor Marine Khubua, the Head of
the Quality Assurance Service of the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences,
Associate Professor Kakhi Kopaliani.
Jean Monnet Module Manager, Professor Larisa Takalandze presented 2-year old progress report
For
the 2-year report, the following key activities were highlighted and
summarized:

1: 2022-2023
• The logo and banner of the Jean Monnet
Module were developed, 2022;
• The project page

• A Promotional event "Georgia and the European Union:
Opportunities for Cooperation" was held, where the presentation on Jean
Monnet Module was made, 2022
• The Resolution of the Academic Council № 05/01-99 on the
implementation of the new study course was adopted, 2022
• The presentation of the Jean Monnet Module was held in the
National Science Library at the event "Best Achievement of the Year";
This project was recognized as the best achievement in 2022 at Sokhumi State
University
• Syllabus “Corporate Social Responsibility in the European
Union“ was developed, 2023
• The new teaching course “Corporate Social Responsibility
in the European Union“ (50 classroom/contact hours; 50 hours including:
Lecture/Seminars - 45 hours, Midterm Examination – 2 hours, Final Examination -
3hours), During 2022-2023 Spring semester, under Bachelor educational program
of the SSU
• Meeting with the Representatives of the Business Sectors
within the Framework of the Jean Monnet Module, 2023
• The Summer School “CSR in the Context of Relations between
the European Union and Georgia” was held at the Sokhumi State University within

The project CSREU gained high interest among
teachers, students, researchers, since the given Jean Monnet Module is the
first project for Sokhumi State University in the frames of Erasmus+ Jean
Monnet Actions. This project was recognized as the best achievement in 2022 at
Sokhumi State University (Presentation CSREU Jean Monnet Module at the event
"Best Achievement of the Year” in the National Science Library). Also, this project is the first of Jean
Monnet's activities in Georgia, whose Manager and academic leader is a
Professor of Business Administration.
On
November, 2023, the Jean Monnet Auditorium was opened at SSU which will become
a platform for sharing best practices, experiences and ideas of EU countries,
and which will initiate conferences, seminars, roundtables, and various events
for students, academic staff and other stakeholders
The meeting was attended by the Head of Administration, Professor David Jalagonia and Professor of the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences Giorgi Berulava.
